Since Fall Quarter 1991, the Center for American Politics and Public Policy (CAPPP) has offered students the only opportunity to work in Washington, DC while remaining a full-time student at UCLA. The CAPPP Quarter in Washington program, which combines academics with an internship experience, was one of the first of its kind among American universities and continues to be a model for other academic internship programs.

CAPPP now offers two programs: one for the Fall & Spring quarters, one for the Winter Quarter. While the two programs differ slightly in their course offerings, both will offer the same close faculty interaction and substantive internship placements.
